The puerperium is a sensitive time during which getting to know and bonding as a family is central.
Independently whether you had a home birth or an ambulant birth, or even just come home after a few days; we are gladly a complement to the midwife, and are there for you at your puerperium.
During the first period with the newborn often many questions and insecurities raise. Sometimes one is just exhausted and needs relief, or does not find themselves at ease with the everyday life. At times it is also the case that the mother more easily adapts to the mother role if she has been cared for herself. Following the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” the doulas support families where needed. Life with a baby completely changes the familiar life preceding it, thus there needs to be space and time to get used to the changes. We gladly also consult and support you to find the time and space to establish the breast-feeding bond to your child.
